Chemical Tanker Seminar for shipping industry 2025

The course is targeted at chemical tanker professionals e.g., superintendents, operators plus trainees of chemical tankers.

But also all others involved in the chemical tanker transport.

Tank cleaning producers and manufacturers of products to the tank marked have been a part of the last 12 years seminars. It is a perfect mix of participants from Sweden, Norway, Germany and Denmark.

The course will also create the framework for a small forum with many different experiences within chemical tanker operations and a platform to share news and knowledge.

The course takes place in English.

The course will take place at the "Copenhagen Island Hotel" near the city center.

  1. Types of tankers, oil-, vegoil- and chemical tankers
  2. IMO – structure, how the IMO works, resolutions and circulars on carriage of liquid chemicals in bulk
  3. IMO regulations for chemical tankers – IBC code
  4. MARPOL Annex II emphasizing regulations 12 -18
  5. MARPOL Annex I selected parts
  6. Acceptance of cargo MEPC. 2/circ. - COF
  7. Handling blends of petroleum oil and biofuels
  8. Tank coatings and stainless-steel tanks, care of tanks, pipes and coatings
  9. Use of inert gas and nitrogen in chemical tankers
  10. Tank cleaning when carrying Annex II products.
  11. News from IMO and the Industry
