  • Going through the chemical hazards, fire hazards, structural damage  associated with the carriage of bulk cargoes
  • Flamable products
  • Toxic gases
Carriage of bulk cargoes and SOLAS
  • SOLAS Chapter VI (carriage of cargoes)
  • SOLAS Chapter VII Part A-1 (transport of solid dangerous goods)
  • SOLAS Chapter II-2 (cargo holds fitted with CO2 extinction)
  • SOLAS Chapter XII (additional safety measures for bulk carriers)

IMSBC Code. Amendment 03-15

  • Going through the code, with focus on relevant subjects
  • Testing of cargoes , Transportable Moisture Limit. Angel of repose
  • Cargoes which may liquefy (Group “A”)
  • Cargoes possessing a chemical hazard (Group “B”)
  • Other Cargoes (Group “C”)
  • Practical use of the code – commercial focus
  • Loading plans
